Killer’s Mother Helps Put Him in Custody
The search for Trouble’s killer is over. The man police believe shot and killed Trouble has turned himself in after his mother encouraged him to surrender to authorities, officials said.
Jamichael Jones, 33, was arrested Tuesday morning (June 7th) after allegedly killing 34-year-old rapper, who’s real name is Mariel Semonte Orr, during a home invasion Sunday morning at Lake St. James Apartments in Conyers, according to authorities in Rockdale County.
Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office stated the arrest began when police went to locations where they believed Jones had connections in order to find more information. They were then led to Jones’s mother’s house.
While police were investigating at the home, Jones called his mother and she told him to turn himself in.“The mother turned the son onto one of my sergeants, who began to talk to him and convince Mr. Jones to turn himself in,” said Rockdale County Sheriff, Eric Levette.
Jones has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, home invasion and battery. He has already been denied bond and will be in court on June 15.
