The hip-hop industry has been stirred up by a waking beast and the battle is on! Eminem appeared on Fat Joe’s newest project “Family Ties” with the single “Lord Above” featuring the likes of Fat Joe & Dre featuring Eminem and Mary J Blige earlier this month. The record was hot and hiphop fans got what they was waiting for, until the bomb dropped. The old Slim Shady is back at it again bringing up Nick Cannon like it was 2002. With his part on Fat Joes record, everyone’s attention then shifted.
The opening lyric from slim shady included “I know me and Mariah didn't end on a high note But that other dude's whipped/ that pussy got him neutered Tried to tell him this chick's a nutjob 'fore he got his jewels clipped/Almost got my caboose kicked Fool, quit, you not gon' do shit/ I let her chop my balls off too 'fore I lost to you, Nick” which sparked a huge response from the “WildN Out” star. Cannon didn’t take this disrespect very lightly as he did in the past. His revenge began after the target from Marshall. No-one expected such a quick response though, within a few days Cannon open fired and the war was waged. The Invitation was dropped via World Star Hiphop feat the WildN Out Boys Hitman Holla, Charlie Clips, and Prince Easy. That didn’t stop there, the beef got more intense with the last feature. Deathrow’s, Suge Knight, sent in a voice mail message directing his frustration towards the emcee. Knight had this to say “ Check this out, uh, Eminem, whatever your name is, right You know, I don't never do no talkin', but Nick is family This is your invitation To prove to everybody else what you're about Winner takes all Eminem's a bitch”. So it begs the question, what’s next for the emcee’s?
If one diss track wasn’t enough, how about 2? Not even a day later Cannon comes with his WildN Out boys again targeting Eminem. Pray for him is sampling JayZ’s track “Renegade” and the pressure is on! One line that stuck out is the line mentioned about Juice Wrld, a recent hiphop artist who passed away from an apart overdose, the line said “ God should've took Em' and just let us keep Juice WRLD” this had the whole world in shock as he just past away a few days prior. This record mentioned about past beefs that Eminem had with artists such a P!NK, NSYNC, and his most notorious beef with Ja Rule. The heat is turning up, and it looks like Cannon is on the winning end of the race and the world wonders what is Eminem going to do?
Artists such as Joyner lucas have made statements towards Cannon in the emcee’s defense. The statement reads “Aye @NickCannon you better stop rap jumping my nigga marshall before me, 50, Royce, crooked i, Lloyd banks, j Cole, Kendrick, logic, tech n9ne, big Sean, and king los get busy on yo ass”
There's a lot speculation but everyone is wondering when Eminem is going to fire back. Is this going to be a small squabble just like the beef between MGK and Em or is this going to be something that could go down in the books as the best rap beef of the decade? Well we do know this, Eminem is known for his controversial lyrics and he's always bringing something to the table so let's just wait and see where this leads and if its something to talk about for years to come.
