Pharrell Williams took over Paris with breakout Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring-Summer 2024 Collection

On February 14, legendary musician and Fashion icon Pharrell Williams was named Men’s Creative Director for the designer brand Louis Vuitton.


Williams presented his first collection at the iconic Pont Neuf in Paris. The theme of Williams's debut collection is “Lovers”. Williams stated in an interview with the New York Times, the collection will consist of printed leather jerseys and rugby shirts, quilted denim, Mao-neck blazers, and camouflage with LV logo cutouts.

Williams opened the show with a mixture of logo-fueled designs a fuzzy, full-length coat with Louis Vuitton logos, numerous and different colors of bags, and camouflage print that appeared throughout the show. The 50-year-old singer, Williams chose Los Angeles-based artist Henry Taylor, which is best known for figurative paintings for the Black community. Taylor's works on the Louis Vuitton collection appeared as embroidery on tailoring, denim, and accessories. A$AP Rocky, Rihanna, Zendaya, Beyonce, Jay-Z, and more celebrities attended the show.






Williams is widely known for his music career, as one of the greatest music producers. He never studied music or fashion, earning 13 Grammys and an Oscar nomination and everything he touches turns to gold. In the early 1990s, Williams formed the hip-hop and R&B production duo The Neptune with his best friend Chad Hugo. They have produced songs for various artists, including Britney Spears, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Usher, and Gwen Stefani. In 2003, Williams co-founded the streetwear clothing brand Billionaire Boys Club with Japanese fashion designer DJ Nigo. Williams worked with Louis Vuitton's parent brand “LVMH” which stands for Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy in the early 2000s. 2004 Williams and Nigo collaborated with Louis Vuitton to create Millionaire sunglasses. In 2022, Williams partnered with LVMH-owned Tiffany & Co to release diamond and emerald-studded glasses. The artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection was held by the late Virgil Abloh. Abloh was a fashion designer and entrepreneur. One of the most influential fashion designers of his generation. Williams's first Louis Vuitton show campaign featured Grammy-Award-winner singer Rihanna on a gigantic poster in Paris.









At the end of the show, Jay-Z helped Williams celebrate his Louis Vuitton collection by performing their 2003 hit song “Frontin”.

Williams was joined by his wife Helen Lasichanh, and their four children.
